Karl Lagerfeld took over the Grand Palais one more time to reveal Chanel’s 2018/2019 Cruise Collection. For this occasion, Karl made an imitation ship and named it La Pausa, after Chanel’s summer house in the South of France. After everyone was on the onboard, Lagerfeld waved his audience and set sail into a party ship.

The nautical theme was strongly present throughout the collection, not only in scenery but also in the garments. The show began with a presentation of navy stripes, sailor jackets, berets and white sweaters, while it slowly transitioned into the pinks and soft pastels.

Consequently, the plastic Summer trend showed up, and this time it was presented in dresses, skirts, and sleeves. Comfortable footwear made an act of appearance, clearly indicating this collection was all about the women who love to travel in style while keeping comfort.
