Stripes for the Win

I can’t believe I have been blogging for a little over two years and this is the first time I do a write up on one of my #ootd. If you guys follow me, you know I share most of my looks on my IG, but it was def time for me to develop my concepts a bit more.

For this particular shoot, I decided to wander in Fort Lauderdale’s “Mass District” area and it seriously was the perfect place for me. Although this s a relatively new art district, it is one that is packed with coffee shops, cool bars and a brewery, not to mention the amazing street art all over the walls.

Now, onto the look! I have been on the hunt for a striped suit and when I came across this baby on Shein it was love at first sight. Now, I will be very honest and say that until now, I had never purchased anything at this store, so I was skeptical about the quality of the clothes. However, after receiving my first order, I have to say that the quality is not too shabby, and I only paid $20 for the entire suit!

What really attracted me to purchase this was the pants because they did not seem super long, which is a total win for me as there was no need to modify their length. On this occasion, I decided to pair the suit with a black floral blouse because I wanted to mix prints while keeping it Spring forward.

Now, onto the accessories! If there is anything I am addicted to are accessories. I am constantly buying sunglasses and necklaces because I can’t get enough #sorrynotsorry. Unfortunately, I don’t have a link to share for my jewelry as I bought it from a vendor that comes to my office every 3 months, but I am sure there are many local artisans that can make similar pieces.

The bag is one of my favorites because of its uniqueness. I found at a vintage shop in Fort Lauderdale (Hello @outofthecloset) and it only cost me $6! And that is why I absolutely love to go vintage hunting. The sunglasses I bought from Chich NYC a few years ago, so they do not carry them anymore, but I am dropping a link below for similar sunglasses to the ones I am wearing.
