Dolce & Gabbana take Alta Moda to Japan

Spring rapidly approached this year, and in the beautiful country of Japan, Spring is the epitome of Sakura flowers. The streets of Japan are filled with the sumptuous pink cherry blossom that has become a national icon of the country.

It was then no surprise that Dolce and Gabbana drew inspiration from the beautiful flowers for their latest international iteration of their Alta Moda couture collection. The venue was no other than the Tokyo National Museum, where the Italian designers showed 50 womenswear looks and 45 menswear looks.

The audience was filled with local influencers, clients and members of the international clique. In all Dolce & Gabbana fashion, Domenico and Stefano transformed the museum into a breathtaking garden, that included a transplanted in-bloom cherry tree. The entire collection was marked by their signature tailoring, hand-painted appliques, and exquisite accessories.
