Another year, another H&M collaboration and this time around the label is no other than Kenzo. In the past 5 years Kenzo has taken the fashion scene by storm with their innovative and fun take on design, thanks to creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. These two not only managed to bring the brand back to life after a long hiatus, but have also built a near-cult following for their creations since joining the Parisian brand in 2011.
While Kenzo has gained its popularity back, their designs are still unattainable for many, which is why this collaboration with H&M will allow for a lot of us to get our hands into one or two garments. This time around, Leon and Lim went back in the brand’s archives and put themselves in the shoes of Kenzo Takada in order to create a one-of-a-kind collection that would make its founder very proud.
Bold flowers, heavy ruffles and animal prints in rainbow colors are plastered all over the collection, bringing back the essences of the label that everyone knew and loved in the 80’s. The confident attitude and larger-than-life prints resurrects original Kenzo pieces, while bringing the boldest street wear. The 110-piece range includes animal print jumpers, faux fur jackets, off-the shoulder peasant blouses, patchwork pieces in vivid hues, and bold accessories.
The KENZO x H&M collection hits more than 250 stores worldwide this Thursday, November 3rd, as well as online at http://www.hm.com
May the odds be in your favor!
