Last Minute Costumes for the Fashion Gal

It’s hard to believe Halloween is less than a week away. While many people have been planning for months on what to wear and who to be for the spookiest night of the year, many  are still scratching their heads and looking for that special costume. If you want to step away from the traditional getups and are looking for something tres chic, then get ready to go through our list of fashionable characters you can bring to life this Halloween.

Anna Wintour

Editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour arrives at German designer Karl Lagerfeld's Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2014-2015 fashion show for French fashion house Chanel in Paris
Even if you are not a fashion connoisseur, everyone has seen “The Devil Wears Prada”, movie that was inspired in Wintour herself. It will then be easy for people to recognize who you are behind a blond bob and oversized sunnies.  For this costume all you need is a pencil skirt with a jacket (preferably tweed) a blonde bob, large sunglasses and a copy of VOGUE. Keep makeup to a minimum and when you get in character remember to not smile, and you’ll be the perfect “Ice Queen”

Sandy from Grease

Channel your inner sexy Sandy look by paring high-waisted black leggings with an off-the-shoulder crop top and red pointed toe pumps. Don’t forget the bold red lip and a voluminous blonde wig (if you are not blonde already). If you want to add something different, follow Gigi Hadid’s footsteps and throw a biker jacket on top.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Break out your inner Audrey Hepburn and bring Holly Golightly back to life in a few easy steps. For this super chic costume you will need a fitted black dress, black gloves, sunglasses and heavy set of pearls. Make sure to put your hair up and get a vintage plastic cigarette to complete your look, and you’ll be ready to turn heads.

If there is someone who has changed the rules of the fashion industry has been Madonna without a doubt, specially with her infamous VMA presentation of “Like a Virgin” back in 1984. To recreate this iconic look you will need a lace boudoir and gloves, along with a tulle skirt and a silver belt. Don’t forget to wear lots of jewelry and tussle your hair to get that “bad girl” effect.
Elle Woods from Legally Blonde
Get ready to “bend and snap” this Halloween a la Elle Woods in no time. All you need for this costume is a pink skirt suit, strappy heels and lots of pink gloss. Elevate the look by wearing glasses and carrying a stuffed dog in your bag to truly bring Elle to life!

Carrie from Sex and the City
There is no one as chic and fashionable as Carrie Bradshaw, and while turning into her this Halloween might seem like a hard task, it is actually very simple. Throughout the show Carrie did no wrong when it came to her fashion sense, and you can mimic her with this easy ensemble. Take a midi a-line skirt (purple preferably) a plain tee and a statement bag. Complete your look by styling your hair in beach waves and wearing a subtle makeup.
